Babbo Natale Ornament – In the foothills of Northern Italy, Santa Claus is affectionately known as “Babbo Natale” and provides gifts during the Christmas season. Tales of Father Christmas are more regionalized in the Alpine region of Italy where they draw inspiration from neighboring countries’ folklore.

Our beautiful Babbo Natale ornament captures the wonders of the season while honoring its cultural roots. This beautiful piece comes painted with blue eyes–distinct in the region–and sports a narrower face and longer beard representative of the traditional Italian figure. A true Santa ornament wouldn’t be complete without a little glimmer and this ornament delivers with a red and white dusted cap.

This design is a Kenzies of London original, new for Winter 2022.

Each bulb is handcrafted by skilled artisans in Poland. Each ornament starts as a mold crafted from clay and casted into metal. These molds are then used as vehicles to shape into blown glass figures. Expert painters often spend hours carefully painting and detailing each piece with delicate hands.

Because of the nature of blown glass ornaments, it is recommended to keep them stored in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Ensure the life of the ornament by storing in rigid boxes filled with padding. Please note that these ornaments are not toys and can break if mishandled, causing injury.
